 One of the largest in the Baltic countries international exhibition of knowledge - "Learning studies career in 2010” was held last week at the Lithuanian Exhibition and Conference Center LITEXPO. Traditionally, participants of this annual event were universities, colleges, professional training institutes of Lithuania, companies conducting language courses and foreign training institutions. It was an excellent opportunity for students to get a better access not only to the Lithuanian educational institutions but also get acquainted with studies abroad, its programs and proposals. The second day of the exhibition was the Career Day. The director of Lithuanian Exhibition Center LITEXPO Aloyzas Tarvydas emphasized the importance of dialogue between education and business, but he also claimed that the situation in cooperation hasn’t changed much, however he hopes that the exhibition will be a prospective start of such activities. For a purpose like that - to represent the employers, Lithuanian Engineering Industries association LINPRA participated in the exhibition. Association LINPRA representing not only the metal products, machinery and equipment, appliances, electrical and electronics industry, but also entities of higher education and vocational training institutions in conjunction with other employers were located in the LITEXPO 5th gallery hall and advised all interested in studying engineering specialties, career, practice opportunities.
