An international conference of initiative ELECTRA 2020 was held on 13, May in the Lithuanian Exhibition and Congress Centre LITEXPO. The conference ‘Manufacturing for climate and climate for manufacturing’ was organized by association LINPRA together with the European engineering industries association ORGALIME and the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization CENELEC.
The event began with Welcome and introductory message of Mr. Vaclovas Đleinota, president of association LINPRA, Henrikas Bernatavičius, vice minister of Lithuanian Ministry of Energy, Pierre Lucas, senior advisor of ORGALIME.
The program of the event was divided into four thematic parts. Speakers at the first panel spoke about Energy strategy of the European Union and Lithuania.

Tony Field, working group representative of CENELEC shared the British experiences how to improve energy generation, transmission and distribution fro reaching "intelligent" networking goals – by 2020 years reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 20%, increase renewable energy by 20% in total energy balance and increase energy efficiency up to 20%.
The fourth part of the program called ‘More progressive manufacturing and competitive products: innovations, products and solutions‘. At this panel Almantas Danilevicius, Director of Department of Innovation and Knowledge Society ofthe Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania outlined the strategic objectives of the development of innovation strategy of Lithuania and Arvydas Galinis, the Chief Researcher of the Energy Complex Research Laboratory of the Lithuanian Energy Institute confirmed all the effort by presenting substantial research that had been made at the Institute of energy.
